I guess I'll set one up again - we haven't run one since New Year's...
December 26, 9am eastern

I'm considering Rouen or Snett67 as the track, but I'm curious to what others
think. Let me know.

I'd vote for Snett67 over Rouen any day. Now all I have to do is
remember to get up and be in the computer room by 9:00 on Boxing Day.

Hi Eldi, great idea! For long races as this one I would prefer one of
the shorter tracks so that lots of action is guaranteed... like Lime
Rock, the Glen or some other kind of club circuit in the 60 secs
laptime range.

We already ran Watkins Glen, even though it was only once(I thought it was
more...?). I had a steering wheel glitch that put me out of the race, dammit.
We'll see...

Dang... tough choice. Snett67 is a good choice as a GP track (pretty safe
apart from rock solid distance markers and a couple invisible walls), but
Rouen is a great challenge as well. I'm happy to run either.

Ok, consider me a confirmed starter.

Chucks... I thought a Nurby GP was by now the traditional way to kickstart

Hehe...seemed like that, huh?. But, I just ran a 15 lapper Saturday(only
finished 8), a 9-lapper Sunday, with another 9-lapper tonight. Plus, there's a
500K(about 22 laps) race next weekend in the same league. With practice laps,
I will have run over 100 laps there within 2 weeks...whew!

Arghl! I refuse to take responsibility!!!! ;-)

I prefer shorter tracks for longer races simply because there tends to
be more action, lapping, passing, following each other and so on. Hey
RAS listen: a single email is all it takes to talk eldi into something
;-)

I'll try to be there as well today.

Ok, so I'm just cursed at Watkins Glen. Lost the clutch on the backstraig on
the first ***ing lap!

Made it just through halfway... a little cough and I was over the fence at
the loop.
Car was ok, but I didn't found any way back to the track...

I saw your engine go up in flames, Eldred. Very impressive! (But you
didn't have to go to all that trouble just for us!).

I survived a little longer, although 5 laps down in 4th place (after
retirements -- no passes <sigh>) until I wedged myself firmly into a
set of hay bales and couldn't extricate myself.

So I *still* haven't finished one of your full-length events. On to
Rouen!

Sorry for spinning in front of you, Darryl. The engine going dead TOTALLY
surprised me. I'm glad you were able to avoid me.

So who won? Time to check the server...

My last league race there I got caught in someone else's wreck. That place
owes me, too.
