3dfx or Rendition with GPL

Need some help with selecting the best (better) video card for running GPL.
Just got a new Dell 450 but the video the came with it just doesn't do this
game justice. I've played GPL on a Rendition equiped machine and compared with
mine , well 2d vs 3d, no comparison. Help??

With a powerful 450 PC like your's I'd  recommend getting a 3dfx voodoo2 3d
add-on card to play GPL instead of the rendition card.  the 3dfx voodo2 will
let you play other 3dfx games also, that a rendition card will not help much.

I agree. The Helios 3D Voodoo II 12MB is the cheapest Voodoo 2  card,
and a good buy.

I too have a PII-450 with both a V2200 Rendition card and dual Voodoo2 12MB
cards. Either way is great, but I think the Voodoo is a little better frame
rate wise. For internet racing though, if you have a USB modem like I do,
you will lose frame rate with the Voodoo2 but not with the Rendition. Go
figure.

The fps in GPL is definately better in V2.  And more software is programed
in d3d & glide than rendition.  My Thriller is going back and I will buy
something else for my primary card.
