3Dfx/Rendition Combo

Hi.  I would greatly appreciate it if anyone could e-mail me and
clear a couple of questions up.  I have noticed here and there people
using Verite/3Dfx combos, so I'm not going to ask if this works,
obviously it does.
I have an Intergraph Intense 3D right now, and I am happy with it as

an all-around solution and to play Nascar2 and Indycar2.  However, now I

would like to get a 3Dfx card for everything else.
I'm curious to know how this works out....When running a Direct 3D
game, what happens?  Do both cards really ROCK together here or does the

3Dfx card do all the work?  And do the Rendition games such as N2 and
ICR2 still work the same?
I have another PCI slot, but does the additional 3Dfx card take up
an additional IRQ??  I am suspencting it will.  When I installed the
Intergraph card, it disabled my SCSI scanner and Zip drive.  I disabled
my midi (no big loss for me) and have everything working okay.
And one final thing...I would also appreciate any input on
performance differences of some of the 3Dfx boards, drivers, etc.  I
don't care that much about bundled games, but I do need a good price.
Thanks very much in advance if anyone can help me with any of the
above!!!
