Buy both, a rendition card for N2/icr2 (it's worth it) and an add-on 3dfx like
the righteous 3D for, well, pretty much everything else that's been released
recently or in the near future.

Note: I haven't tried this yet because my R3D hasn't arrived, but plenty of
people have gone this route.
