No, it has not even been announced.  I'm afraid that you're going to have
to buy a Playstation just from Gran Turismo, just like I did a few months
back :-)

I sent an email to Sony a few weeks back asking if there were any
plans for a PC version and they told me that there were not. They want
you to buy a Playstation to play GT.

Michael,

This game sounds phenomenal! The screenshots are fantastic. I can't
wait. I hope the gameplay and physics model are as good as the
screenshots.

Thanks for the info!

Oh Todd, you don't know how much I am salivating at this too! Those
screenshots with the BMW's are awesome, and the 911 GT1 from the rear
looks so damn nice! I just wish there was an Audi A4 Quattro in the
game, as well as in the real events!

And as a sidenote, my old buddy I used to race with in Milwaukee, Peter
"PD" Cunningham races part time in either the GT2 or GT3 BMW M3 in this
series. Otherwise he is in the Honda/Acura sponsored NSX in the Supercar
Series. Makes me wonder if the graphics are good enough that I might see
his name on the door/roof???  :)

Hey I got the drive Professional Sports Car Racing at E3 and I was glued to
it for 4hrs. It really is an awesome sim, finally we get to do some real
endurance racing on the PC. The hell with Grand Turisom.

Gran Turismo for PC??

Well the guy told me most of the physics werent even done when I gave it a
try. But the driving was very cool. When I jumped in a GT3 cars the GT1s
would blew me away. Night racing is amazing! I really like the little things
they did. For example the cars would really feel like driving over bumps on
the tracks. We were LAN racing with 4 systems at E3, I get to try most of
the tracks and cars. Mosport, Laguna Seca, Sebring, Las Vegas infield are
just a few tracks i tried. Drove the Panoz, Viper, BMW, Porche 911 all
classes, GT2 Mustang. The rain effects didnt seem done at the time, but it
felt loose and the road was shiny. Break lights would shine up during the
night racing or rain. The *** rep told he that the Sebring race would be
12hrs long. And that the game would support internet play. On a LAN it
screamed. The detail of the tracks were very nice, graphics were awesome on
a 3dfx. Compared to ICR2 Laguna looked more colorful and many more times
detail. Curbs were there where they should be. You could lock up tires, spin
coming out of the corners if you applies the gas. This sim amazed me! I love
this type of racing and finally someone made a great sim of Sports Car
Racing. I know I'll be playing this and GPL for a long time to come.

Thanks for the response... Glad to see they are throwing enduro races in, but I
cant see myself racing one, at least in one sitting... imagine the strain on
your eyes, doing a 12 hour race on your computer... :-O

Yeah, but can you buy and sell REAL cars, like ones you may be able to
actually own yourself. Can you modify many aspects of the cars, in ways like
reality, such as buying a new suspension kit, and only then being able to
adjust ride height etc. Or is it just another race car sim, round and round the
***y track all day, chuck it on the pile with the other crap, sort of game?
Yeah, driving physics is important, and so is graphics. But so is the range of
cars, the life-like sounds they make, the ability to basically road-test cars
on a computer, without having to go to a dealer, and the ability to experiement
with modifications. This are the areas where Gran Turismo shines!!!

I hope they have either a save game option or let an AI car take over and
fast forward the race a few hours. I use to race in 24hr ICR2 endurance
races driving for 4hrs at a time and then handing the race off to a team
mate. Maybe they might have something like that? Or when you switch drivers
the game saves at that point so people dont load races if they crash for
leagues.

Trans Am Racing Game???? WHERE?????

As for me, having raced for years in SCCA, I AM SICK OF NASCAR! Unless I
got Speedvision (which my cable company don't), I can't get to see REAL
racing like BTCC, STW, BOCC - all I get to see is a bunch of bubble
gum/tobacco chewing Arkansas hooligans! I don't want circles, I want
TRUE Road Racing!

But then you COULD call it a true SIMM! Cause you'd feel just like the
real drivers!  :)

Only thing missing would be getting beat to hell from all the bouncing
and "G" forces! But then I guess the wives would accomplish that for us
(with a rolling pin) if we DID sit at a game for all 12 hours!   LOL!!!!
