Good day everyone

Is there any particular and known reason why F1 2002 would freeze up,
seeminglly randomly, a few minutes into driving?

I run an AMD 1600+, 256ram, Window XP pro, etc.

  F1 2k2 has been known to 'pause' frequently at lower frame rate times, but
complete lockup?  no.
time to check your irq's and your heat situation.
