I tried gtrun.exe and i got the second menu.
i tried gtracing2002.exe i got the video and ... nothing return to explorer.

GTR2002.exe is the executable that brings up the Pre-Race menu (where you
can change drivers, cars, and classes).  GTRun.exe launches the game with
yer last-loaded params and yer .plr configs, etc. (if you've amended the
command line to include <<config=GTR2002config.INI>>).  I think.

There is a new version of GT2002.exe in the making to deal with various
problems.

It should be available before the week-end...

In the mean time check if you have anything other than the "normal" 96 dpi
fonts in your display properties "advanced" menu. Switch back to it and it
works 75% of the time.

     Isn't there a shortcut in the F1 2k2 folder?  clik on that...it
'should' take you to the pre-menu if your mod is installed properly.

No, the pre-menu is not working for some configurations, hence the new version
due out.

Copying a generic player.plr allows the gtrun.exe to run bypassing the pre-menu.

No need to change the regional setting to English (USA)... just change
the decimal separator to dot (.). Worked for me.
