N2 and T2

I a having trouble with my new T2.

It works fine in WIN95 going to N2, but when I go into dos mode it
calibrates fine, but when I click to set controls it automaticly goes to
Joy 2 Axis on every setting and will not let me change it.  Does anyone
have any ideas on whats is wrong?

Thanks In Advance,

Scott

Hi Scott...

Here a while back I had the same T2 dialema, however mine followed after
trying to run N2 without having my wheel plugged in the the game port.
(Stupid yes, but I had been playing football w/a joystick.)  From that
time on, it was the same thing.  I could not set controls no matter what
I did.  Not being extremely smart on this computer stuff, I took matters
into my own hands and solved my dialema by re-installing N2.  However,
perhaps someone else on this group can offer another option. I'll be
watching the anwers you get with interest, 'cause I'm not above making
the same mistake again.

If you simply can't get the controls set try deleting the file
calib.val.

This doesn't explain why it is setting everything to Joy 2 axis.

If your T2 works like my GP1 then the Wheel is on Joy 1 X axis.
The Gas/Brake share Joy 1 Y axis.
There is something connected to Joy 2 X axis (maybe Y axis)

I suggest you also "calibrate" the Joy 2 even if there isn't anything
really there.

Then set the controls again.

Really all you need to do is delete the CALIB.VAL file=20
in your Nascar2 directory go back and start the game=20
and recalibrate your wheel....this should work as I have=20
fixed a friends machine in this fashion!!!!!!!
