T2 with N2

I have tried using a T2 with N2 but it's way too touchy. I've calibrated
the wheel properly and chosen wheel as my control device. If I use a
joystick, it works fine. What can I do to make the T2 work with N2?

Brian,

I had the same problem.  Select Joystick instead of wheel, it works!

Lower your wheel lock.   I have mine set to around 6-8 at most tracks in
Nascar 2.

Try reducing the steering lock in the car setup.

I also have a T2 with N2.  I thought my wheel was screwed with the new
sim till I read the manual.  Reduce the wheel lock in your setup.  For
example, Using the ACE setup at Tally, I reduced the wheel lock to 7.
Result, not flying across the track when I touch the wheel.  Further
experiments led me to reduce wheel lock about 30-40% on the other setups
and tracks tested.

Just my $.02

Yeah Dega's the big easy. But go to Martinsville, reducing lock is
proably not a good option. I belive right now I'm at 21 on that track.
All the little tracks, unless I'm doing something wrong requires a
fairly open steering radius.

I keep the lock down on all tracks.  Maybe a max of 12 on a road course,
but usually 9-7 on ovals.  I think you need to go back and revisit your
car setup.  It sounds like it is WAY too tight.  But, then if that's
they way you like it setup no biggie.  Just passing on an observation.

I believe that using the joystick in N2 is the same as using
non-linear in N1. This is what I did with the demo cause there was no way
I could drive the car with the wheel setting, way too squirrly. Keeping
the wheel lock on the low side might help too even with the joystick
option. In N1 I run a wheel lock of 10 at most of the bigger tracks with
the non-linear/joystick option.

I had the same question and was told by several very helpful people to select
joystick/keyboard under controls (still using the wheel) and it works great!

Lowering the wheel lock is good, but straight from Papy's mouth, T2
users should choose Joystick for their control option.  That gives you
either Linear or Non Linear steering, sorry, I forgot which...

Just leave your wheel hooked up and select joystick.  Your T2 will still
work but you will have more control over the steering.
