Suggestion : N2/win95b/T2

Several people have reported problems getting the T2
recognized by Nascar 2 running under win95b.  I think I can offer some
help.  I was running win95a a week ago with the Extreme Competition
Controller which I re-wired (with the help of the Extreme Competition
Controller manufacturers) to work exactly like the T2.  Under win95a,
I could easily run Indycar Racing 2, Nascar 2, Screamer 2, MTM, etc.
But, when I downloaded and installed the updated drivers for the
Sidewinder 3d pro (which I gather are substantially similar to the
win95 joystick drivers), I could no longer configure my Extreme
Competition Controller to work with Screamer 2 although it worked fine
in Win95 with everything else.
Screamer 2 would not allow me to configure the Extreme
Competition Controller because in addition to seeing a J1 X-axis and
J1 Y-axis (thanks to Thrustmaster dongle from my old T1), Screamer 2
also saw a phantom J2 axis (I forget whether it was J2 x or y).  I
suspect Nascar 2 may be running into the same problem with your T2s
under win95b.
I solved my problem by cutting pins 11 and 13 out of a cheap
joystick extension cable and plugging that into the loop between the
Thrustmaster dongle and my computer.  Note:  pins 11 and 13 carry the
J2 axis information.  Once I did that, Screamer 2 no longer saw the
phantom 3rd axis and no longer hung during setup.  This may not solve
your problems, but hopefully it will get you thinking in the right
direction.
