Very Strange Problem with N2 and T2 in w95...

by Ron » Sat, 08 Feb 1997 04:00:00

Okay, can anyone figure out the following problem I am encountering?

I recently got a new system (P166) 32meg Intergraph Reactor....
Previous system was a (P100) 32meg Intergraph Reactor...

I could get my T2 to calibrate and be active on my P100 under w95
running Nascar2 but usually had to reload N2 and it would always pick
it up to begin calibrating after the first load.

With my P166, I cannot get my T2 to work at all now with W95/N2. No
movement when trying to calibrate. I have tried the same
method....(re-loading N2 under w95) = doesn't work. I have tried both
the n2.bat and renddma. I can run ICR2 in this environment (w95) and
it picks up the T2 immediately and allows proper calibration.

Did I uncover another BUG :-(*'' ?

Adam, Charlie, Ed ? Are you aware of this issue and is there a
possible fix?

Thanks,
Ron

I have a similar problem with an old date code T2, w95 and N2.  The T2 works
fine in dos with Nascar 1, but Nascar2 does not see the pedals, with or without
the adaptor widget.  In w95, with the adaptor, I can almost calibrate the T2.
When I press the brake pedal down and it gets close to the limit, w95 complains
that something is wrong with my joystick, or some such message.  Also, NFS SE
does not see the buttons in w95.

My system is a Compudyne p133 with a Crystal Semi cs4232 on board.  If I could
figure out how to disable the pnp gameport, I throw in a game controller board
and be done with it.  THe T2 tested ok on another system with a CH board.
