T1/T2 support for W95?

by Dave Hawn » Mon, 25 Jan 1999 04:00:00

Hi,
Thanks for reading this message.
I am configuring a W95 (B) system.  I have a home made
wheel/pedals that I used with my old W95 (original, pre 'A'
release).  I used  the ' T1/T2 with adapter' option from the
controller menu..... this worked fine and I was able to
calibrate my wheel.  In this new version of W95 (B), I noticed
that there is no T1/T2 option in the controller list!  I am
unable to configure/calibrate my wheel/pedals!
Q. Can I 'lift' my old T1/T2 divers/install files from my old
system?
Where can I find them in my old W95, I have looked, but can't
locate them, or is there a separate drive I will have to
install?
Q. Why aren't Microsoft supporting wheel/pedals in there later
versions of Windows?  (no...  I don't have an M$ FF wheel ;)
Thanks in advance for any help......

Just use a CUSTOM device and click the checkbox for
'Driving Controller'. That is the only way my T2 would work.
Those canned devices in the list never worked for me.

Download Thrustmaster's ProPanel applet and you should get the
T1/T2 entries back.

Try reinstalling Direct X 6, that should do it.
My email is jhilsman,  my server is negia.net.  I hope
lightning strikes the next idiot to send me a mass email.
