Act Labs and GPL problem

by Mark Balo » Thu, 15 Mar 2001 06:03:53

I've been driving GPL with my Act Labs for about two years without any
problems.

Upgraded to a new computer, installed GPL and my Act Labs with latest
drivers (Immersion *** Driver v2.1 - 10/26/00).

When I drive GPL the wheel seems to work fine (FF work as expected)
but starts to turn ***ly while entering corners. It really jerks
left or right.

Doe anybody know of this problem?

Old system:
celeron 300
128Mb
Voodoo3

New System:
AMD 1200
512Mb
Geforce2 GTS (D3D drivers for GPL)

Cheers,
Mark

Just a thought but as this is a new GPL install, did you reset the steering
ratio in car set-up?  It needs to be somewhere around 1:8 to 1:12, depending
on your driving style.

Also, take a look at http://www.racesimcentral.net/
force feedback set-up.

Act Labs and GPL problem

It happens to me on nascar 3. As I make a left turn it will jerk ***ly
to the left. Neither Act Labs or Papyrus have been able to help with the
problem. Please let me know if you learn anything.
