SCGT - Driving Physics vs. GPL ?

by Jude » Fri, 30 Apr 1999 04:00:00

Hey there SCGT users !

I just saw some copies in Future Shop up here in Toronto($49.99)

Before I puts my money down - how comparable is SCGT to GPL as far as a sim
accuracy ??

Do the car(s) steer from the  front wheels like GPL or from the centre of
the car ?

Can u tell the differences in handling w/ the different cars  ??

Not as good as GPL, but as good or better than any other sim I know of (with
the Advanced Options utility). Not perfect, but good enough as to not be a
distraction.

I know what you are talking about here. They seem to steer from the front,
just like GPL (and CPR for that matter). I'll have to double check, but I am
90% sure.

I haven't tried enough cars within the same class to say yet. Between
classes, there are obviously huge differences.

Yes they do.  The handleing differences can be felt and they also use tires
differently.  Some cars tend to handle better then others on worn tires.

Actually - and specially in the Panoz and Lister, I think it steers from the
rear wheels after the Advanced Options 2.1 Editor is used.

Oh there are differences. In GT1, the Lister is totally HORRIBLE! The MB CLK
handles like very neutral, the Panoz you steer with the rear wheels <G>, and
the Porsche GT1 is fairly stable.

Originally I wanted this game for the BMW M3 and the Porsche GT1, but now I
have fallen in love with the Panoz and MB CLK.
