F1RS steering problem?

by Gostal Arcelin, M.D » Sat, 14 Feb 1998 04:00:00

I have been using F1RS for some time now with no problems, with single race
mode.
Today I have not been able to run in a grand prix mode. When I enter the
race (practice, qualifying or the race) my steering wheel works backwards
with reverse polarity. When I steer left the car goes right. when I
accelerate the car brakes and so on. At first, I thought that somehow my
configuration must have changed, so I went back to the main menu and
configure the steering wheel. Everything is set correctly....I go back to
the game and everything is still in reverse. I decide to configure the wheel
in reverse fashion, but this still does not work.
When I restart the game, the wheel works well in single race mode. When I
configure the wheel in windows95, everything seems to work well. I have a
Thrustmaster Grandprix I wheel. I do not understand what is happening?
Has anyone else had this problem before, any solution?
Thanks,
Gostal

About the only thing I can think of is to completely configure your
driving controls with keyboard commands. Then go back and
re-do your wheel and gas/brake/shifting controls with your GP1.
There really is no reason why it shouldn't work.

Hey!  I get the same problem occasionally.  Is only solved when I exit and
restart the game.

This game is really worth to buy it and so I did!!!

I get the NoCD-Patch from www.f1racingsim.com, it is a small
prog made by someone called "SplAj", which alters the *.EXE
to ignore the CD-Check. (not longer available since UBI mailed
them)

At last, warez are not well known in Germany!

go fast
