F1RS - Steering wheel config problem

by Asgeir Nesoe » Fri, 06 Feb 1998 04:00:00

I have trouble configuring my steering wheel for F1RS. I have a homemade
steering wheel and pedals, and what I want is using two separate axis's
(heck, how do you say two axises???) for brakes and throttle.

Does anybody know how to do this? What Axis should I use for what
control (X1, Y1, X2, Y2)? How should I configure the damned thing in the
windows95 config program? Should I check the rudder/pedal box?

Come on, there must be someone out there using a similar setup to what I
want, huh? I would very much like to be able to brake and giving
throttle at the same time  ;-)

Reply by email as well as to the NG...

You've got to understand my situation, I have bought the game, it's
running fine, but I can't get to use my steering wheel! Arrrgh!

Two axes.

As for your question, I believe F1RS only supports one axis for
throttle/brake, or was it my TM GP1? Can't remember...

I believe that you can configure the brake for one axis and the throttle
to another axis or jstick button or keyboard command. It is very
configurable. I did not respond to his origional question because
I don't know how he cannot configure it :-)
