Need help with steering/pedals config in F1RS

I can't seem to accelerate at all without getting huge wheelspin. I
figure it's got to be something in the wheel/pedal config (I use a
Thrustmaster T2). I drive lots of sims, but am just having this
problem with F1RS. Any ideas from out there?

Try the config/setup (??? don't remember) menu, and enable
anti-wheel-spin :-)

Yeah, I could do that, but I don't want to. I am kind of bullheaded
about driving in the sims without any helps. I mean, what's the point?
I've played with this one enough to know that it's not the setup
causing this problem, and I've driven enough different sims to know
how to apply gas and brake without too many problems, but this one's
got me stumped. I saw a post above about somebody having the same
problem with the brakes (they're either on or off) as I have with the
gas.

Anybody out there got this figured out? It's kind of ruining my fun.

I must have it figured out since I don't have this problem. Unfortunately
I would probably need to sit down at your computer to figure out what
the problem is. How is your T2 setup within the W95 joystick applet
in the Control Panel? What kind of joystick gameport are you using?

BTW, are you sure that you get wheel spin from simply pushing
on the gas slightly? Like moving the pedal 1/8th inch? You do
know that the 1st gear winds out very quickly (feature). This was
discussed quite alot when the game was first released. You should
only have a problem in 1st gear. I think you are probably applying
too much gas.

Have you tried setting the first gear ratio to a higher setting?
