Had to reload n2 and now it won't recognize the t2 wheel it will only play
in the keyboard mode, any ideas

Do you have the patches from the Sierra website?  Yes, it would seem that if
it worked once....but this is where I would start.

If you are running under windows 95, I suggest you run in pure MS dos mode
to use the t2, otherwise, you can look in your control panel and check to
see if your wheel is recognized

I ran into a similar problem once with N2.  My solution was to delete
the controls.cfg and calib.val files from the main NASCAR2 directory.
Then start N2 up and calibrate the joysticks first then select my
control options.
