I was just wondering if anyone out there know's the status of the second
version of this mod?  The first one was superb and I'm really looking
forward to the second release.

Any news?  Anyone?  Ian?

Thanks,

James

I think it's supposed to be finished within the next week. Iain is probably
the only one here who really knows for sure since he's one of the people
working on it.

It's looking like Monday or Tuesday. We've decided to go for a complete
installer that takes your stock F1-2001 install and does everything for
you - loads all the files sets up alternate config.ini, new custom icon etc.
This is just about completed and Turner has done a great job on it. Doug is
still tweaking the AI and physics attributes (completed now) and the feel is
really good! The last of the new AIW files are being completed for the final
tracks and you should have a damn fine race against them now. Unfortunately
the install is over 50Mb but IMHO it's definitely worth it.

You can get the latest info at the forum here:
http://www.simbin.com/cgi-bin/ikonboard.cgi?s=3c59b7010998ffff;act=SF...

and if there's anything you'd like to know just ask.

See you soon

Ian

"Ian Bell"
Vipers?  Has this mod got Vipers?(I just found out, that one of the
Vipers turned laps faster than the class Winning Corvette at lemans last
year.  Strange how that got glossed over...by what???  :) a win??? hehehe

Any chance you could do a smaller "upgrade" version for those of us who are
running V1.0 already with upgraded physics , AIWs tyre files etc . I already
have about 30mb of downloads and don't fancy having to download another 50mb
worth .

What if I say pretty please as well ?

Second that.
DLing the 30 MB with my analog 56 wasn't really fun.
