Probably true, but being the danger-seeker that I am, I installed it anyway.

FWIW, it works fine here on 98SE with a Ti4400 and LWF wheel in GPL, NR2002,
F1-2002 (& assorted mods), and Rally Trophy. Testing actually gave rise to
my first GPL race in many, many moons, so it WAS worth the effort. Got my
arse kicked on VROC, but it was fun chasing around the 'Ring again. Still
can't drive those ***y 60/60 setups in the Lotus though...

Same here (Radeon 9700). Some people are reporting problems with OpenGL
games tho with the 3.0 drivers.
