Either I haven't found it yet, or the 'Save Race' option is now gone.
Does this bother anybody besides me?

If so yes. I haven't gotten that far. I'm still stuck on how to get a
created racer to race for you in multiplayer mode. I'm also in after
shock on no season mode for multiplayer, no arcade mode for
multiplayer. So eventualy I will be getting to the save problem. :)
Ya know this game is yet antoher example of so close to greatness but
yet they forget no-brainer stuff. Add in all the above and I'm in
Nascar heaven I swear. I'll *** no mo.
To people that run large nascar internet games. How many people do you
guys have racing at a time? (humans) I hear stuff like NRL having 30+
humnas at a time and I just wonder how anybody will ever finish. Are
you guys that good? What's the real trick? Does a steering whell make
control 100% better? I don't want to sound like I suck to bad, there's
races I can go without accident and sometimes I can squeek out a win
but there's to many races where it's one bad move and there's your day.
It really does boggle me fathoming 30 people racing in harmony, it
seems easy for the cpu, but for us man that seems tough.
What I would like to see I guess is papyrus come out with Saturday
Night Stock Car. With dirt tracks ect. where a more open, arcadish mode
with amatures running around the track. Make pits simple and
everything, somthing that's just fun but still very detailed. There
really is nothing like that either and the verite and voodoo can make
such a game a reality now. Again I respect Nascar for what they are
doing, but maybe a more free willy version could sell well to. Also a
Demo DErby with this engine would be neat to.

Yep. No more 100% races unless you've 4 hours+ to kill. Even though
the save option in Nascar1 wasn't perfect, I don't understand why it
had to be removed.

How many people really have 4+ hours to kill at a time?
Will it still let you save a race weekend between practice, qualifying, or
pre-race warmup?

I too am looking to try and save a race from the "quickrace" option.
Let me know if we are missing something...besides saved races!
It doesn't matter whether you're running a single race or championship
season, you can't leave & save the race weekend. And you can no longer
adjust race length or opponent strength within the game after you've
started a season. Although I guess you can adjust the track text files
if you want to.
I don't want to complain too much because there has been some real
improvement in the game. If only I could save a race...
Sure does , sometimes I just cant devote 3-4 hours to playing it, but I
wish I could. Also,it sucks with 25 laps to go in the top ten and you
get knocked out or tap the wall and you have to completely restart you
just cant pick it up from your last save.PLEASE PATCH THIS !!!!I AM SURE
MOST PEOPLE WANT TO SAVE THEIR GAMES!!!RIGHT??

This part I don't agree with. That's all part of it. If you weren't
supposed to win, you won't. More realistic.
But yes, I would like to save it if I can't finish a race.

Yes. I would love to be able to save a race. I don't have 4 hours to
run a 100% race. I have 3 kids, I barely have time to race period!
Might take me a month to run a 100% race! Anyway, if you're reading this,
Adam, I would like to congratulate you on a fantastic improvement to the
Nascar Sim. Dega, and Pocono are great in their new configuration. And
I like the new Watkins Glen, as well as the new graphics at Sears Point.
I don't want to complain, but I would love to have a patch to save a race
weekend.
Thanks Adam and Papyrus!
Tom
Bugs me big time. Pay more and get less, especially from Sierra. They
should have left Papyrus alone.

How realistic is it to race a whole game and not have a real threatning
crash everytime? I mean maybe you and maybe the majority here but I'm
certain average joe (by far) has this happens to them almost once in a
30 lap race let alone a full race. This is what takes the "FUN" part
away. It's still a game no matter how you slice it. You can take SIM to
far as well. Damage off cured it, but now I don't get those neat fender
benders, the cpu drivers do still though.
Again you make this game more forgiving and you'll have so many people
here disscussing it and your NRL circuit will be ten times larger than
what it will be.

It's stuff like your last statment if implemented would just give this
game a bigger market. As trivial and juvenile as it sounds would get
more people interested. Look at how many people who moan when a hockey
game disregards fighting. Put it in plus good gameplay and you'll
outsell your competition who doesn't have fighting ten fold.
Regardless to whatever do-gooders say. People love to watch people
fight. When was the last time at a sporting event a fight broke out and
the audience just sat back and went ho-hum this is boring, I wish they
could just go on with the game. The only ones that say it are the
corporate officials to the public. Deep down they like it to. Everyone
likes a good fight.
Sorry for blabbing. But I always appreciate the little things added to
a solid product.

If you have 30 decent drivers, it's entirely possible for most of the field
to finish the race. We had a series race at Rockingham last Friday night,
25% length. 20 drivers started, 6 finished on the lead lap (would have been
8 except for an annoying black flag problem). A total of 5 cautions, at
least one due to a missed shift, and only 6 cars retired. And that was not
one of our better races.
