After so many time of driving with no mirrors, low res. etc
only to get in the 20-30 fps range I've decided to upgrade my old
system.
I'd appreciate any information on what kind of system should be
the minimum to get it running at a steady 36 fps with all the graphic
options on (I don't intend to have any online racing; my inet
connection is too slow)
I will also use a serial Act Labs Force RS.
Note: remove SPAMNOT

You need a fast connection to host, but not to join. A 33.6bps or 56 is OK
to join.

128 megs of ram (very cheap now!)
with this config, you'll get always 36 fps (also in 1280 x 1024 with all
details , the mirrors and all the cars on)

only works if the celery is a real new one - mine did not work ... don't
expect every 366 to run at 550!!

Lo importante es cuanto te puedes/quieres gastar.
Si quieres seguimos por mail y te comento mi configuracion para 36 fps.
Por cierto yo juego bastante bien con un modem 33.6 por RedesTB.
