Hi,
I have found that if I have my controller TMF1 set up for seperate axis,
brake/accel,
that the sim freezes when I attempt to configure in game. W98 controller
setup is ok. If I have it set for combined it runs ok.
Any suggestions.

It is likely a Glide (3dfx issue).  GPL has a problem with the latest Glide
drivers--try version 2.53.  I had the same problem with 3 different wheels
and that fixed it each time.  You might also try changing to software
driver, exit, re-enter, set-up your wheel, exit, re-enter and change back to
3dfx, exit and re-enter!!!  You pick which is easier.
