Need controller config for GP3 and F12K

by Eldre » Tue, 24 Apr 2001 12:04:48

Ok, I give up.  I can't seem to get either of these two to work with my
split-axis TSW2mod.  I'm sure that they would work just fine as single-axis,
but that would defeat the purpose.  Can anyone give me step by step
instructions on how to do this?  Or, in the case of GP3, a .con file?  This
isn't as intuitive as I'd hoped... :(
Thanks.

I'm glad someone asked this one because I'm having the same trouble with my
TSW and the split axis feature in F12K (don't own GP3). I'm as curious as
Eldred on how to make this work.
TIA,
Robin

  I have a split axis Logitech Formula Force and it has zero problems with
F1Cs2k.
It is USB tho, that may make a difference.

Need controller config for GP3 and F12K

Hi Eldred,

I finally got my TMFF split axis to work with F12K (the original).  You
need to edit the <yourname>.PLR file.  Look for the axis settings.  Now
for me left and right on the wheel worked but my split axis gas/brake
weren't recongized.  I edited the accelerate and/or brake entries with
values 5 or 6 and that worked.

I figure:

Axis X- = 1
Axis X+ = 2
Axis Y- = 3
Axis Y+ = 4
Axis Z- = 5
Axis Z+ = 6

Now if your TSW2 mod uses some axis off the 2nd joystick port, I'm not
sure what the axis numbers would be.

I'll post a URL to my PLR file and a screen shot of my controller setup
screen when I get home.

Jason.

I'm using a TMFF wheel on a USB port.  For Joystick2 I would recommend
trying 7 to 12.  Note that the game would not see my gas/brake during
calibration so I just edited my playername.PLR file.

My F12K control setup as shown in the game (F12K):

Steer right   Joy1 X+
Steer left    Joy1 X-
Accellerate   Joy1 Z-
Brake         Joy1 Y-

Here are the settings in my save/playername/playername.PLR file:

[CONTROLS]
CT_SteerRight=1
CT_SteerLeft=2
CT_Accelerate=6
CT_Brake=4
CT_ShiftUp=13
CT_ShiftDown=14
CT_RearLook=72
CT_LookLeft=16
CT_LookRight=15
CT_BiasForward=22
CT_BiasRearward=20
CT_SpeedLimiter=21
