Problem with 3dfx GPL

Problem with 3dfx GPL

by Patrick Gilmor » Fri, 02 Oct 1998 04:00:00

I have both a 3dfx card (Diamond Monster) and a Rendition video card
(Integraph Reactor) and though the game will run in the Rendition mode it
will not run with the 3dfx mode. The demo for GPL worked fine with both
cards and I cannot figure out why I can't switch to 3dfx with the release
version. I have the required version of Glide so that can't be the problem.

My system is a PII 266 Celeron overclocked to 400 with 64mb if that makes
any difference.

Thanks,
Patrick Gilmore

Yes I did, plus even if I had selected Rendition I would think that I could
change it to 3dfx in the appropriate options menu. That is how the demo
worked anyway.

try slowing down your 3dfx clock rate and or bus speed.  I seem to get
lockups with my normal voodoo2 95mhz, but less with 90.  you have upgraded
drivers, right?
