I have hosted LAN & internet races by ticking the appropriate TCP/IP boxes
(1 for local & one for ISP provided). If your network uses another protocol
such as IPX tick this box.
Unfortunately I only have a standard modem but the races have worked fine.

I use Nevod's NAT1000 (network address translation) on my gateway PC (see
www.nevod.com). On my gateway PC, I have 2 NICs, one connected to the cable
modem and the other connected to my 2nd PC (using a crossover cable).
Since the network address translation S/W uses TCP/UDP port numbers for
address translation, I had to configure NAT to not use the dedicated UDP
port numbers that GPL uses (32766 and 6971). For NAT1000, I added the
following lines to a configuration file (nat1000.cfg):
UDP:32766:0.0.0.0:NORMAL
UDP:6971:0.0.0.0:NORMAL
I run GPL on the gateway and can see the IP addresses of both the NICs from
GPL when hosting. As well, I can join races from both the gateway and my
internal PC.
Good luck
Brian
It is certainly possible and very straightforward. When you start to
host just "tick" all the boxes from which you will accept connections
- you can specify TCP/IP, IPX or whatever.
Cheers!

If you have problems, make them work separately before combining.
