Hi Graeme,
No I've not seen this one. I have had a dial up connection drop & ask to be
reconnected in windows. Whilst in GPL I got a series of network errors.
Quitting GPL I get to see the re-connect error message. I guess its just the
complete connection to the ISP failing as opposed to 'blip' where you get
disconnected from the GPL server but still connected to the internet.
My heart went out to you when I saw "Graeme Nash has disconnected" so near
the end.
I'd just recovered to third at the time (from last after the first corner &
the resulting pit penalty!) so I knew it must be you in first as my pit
board showed John in second.
Shame about the first corner cos I think we could have had a good race -
especially if I'd stayed in front on the exit of turn 1! My best lap was
0.06 slower than yours.
It is probably me, but there seems to be less grip with cold tyres in the
race than starting from the pits in practice with the same set up. I
consciously ran through turn one on cold tyres fully fuelled with race set
up prior to the start to get the feel for it. Perhaps it was because of the
entry angle being further over on the right hand side having got passed you
down the straight.
Watching the replay you disappear for major chunks of it. It also shows you
on fire with just one wheel after turn one, but re-appear all ok without
stopping.
Forgetting the disconnect (if you can!) I probably had the more fun race
catching & overtaking about five cars for position (plus the backmarkers)
having lost so much time at the start.
Anyway good luck in the future races - hope to see you during the race!
Cheers
Tony
