GPL: Error when GPL starts

I most often get this error when I start GPL - sometimes it lets me
play and sometimes it causes the machine to die.

Have you guy got a clue?

I would strongly, STRONGLY suspect your sound card....
SBlive are famous for shit drivers (as are all creative products) and you
HAVE to download the 13 megs (yes !!!) drivers from the website to have it
work properly on some machines.

Get Dx8, latest drivers for sound and video and try again.

I don't know about that...My SB Live came with updated drivers straight out
of the box and it works fine with everything including GPL.

GPL: Error when GPL starts

Hey Dudes

I solved the problem myself. Since it had something with display to do
and I suspected that the crash happened when GPL had to change
resolution from my desktop 1024x768 to whatever the menus are, I just
installed the Unofficial 3Dfx GPL patch-O-matic from George M. Smiley -
and now when GPL doesnt change resolution I can jump in and out of GPL
without problems. YIPEEEEEEEEEEEEE Now Ill just have to learn to live
with the small menu screens - but then again - all the important stuff
happens at the track right

Thomas
