Has anyone produced a patch or add-on track that allows us to drive on
the high banks of monza? Or is anyone working on such a track?

Wow, what a marvelous idea. I'm surprised not a hundred people have asked
this question until now...

Somehow I don't think the Monza oval would work without major work.
The one section is probably just a nice picture.  I don't think the
other side is even there.

You didn't know?  Papyrus has modeled it all!  It's actually there, the full
oval.  Don't be misled by the MIP at the Monza track, the full oval is
there.  You just need to go around the fence and you can drive it
completely!

Actually I did get thrown over the fence on my first online race ever and
landed on all four wheels! But I got so e***d about it and wanted to tell
all others that I somehow managed to escape myself up to the pits again!
But, I was on the other side of the fence looking towards the beginning of
the banking...

You can drive for a couple of meters after the fence, then you hit an
invisible wall.

Ok, well done Rik, now I won't release the banked Monza and just keep
it for myself.

Yep. If you have some spare time, you can toy around with editing your
pit stall location to get into all kinds of weird trackside places on
the various circuits. I did that to explore the vestigial Monza banking -
there wasn't much to see though.

A quick way to check for "extras" at a track is to look at the overhead view
of the circuit in GPL Replay Analyser. There's nowhere at Monza that you can
get more than a few yards from the track proper.

Don't have an URL for the analyser, sorry

Cheers

It should be obvious by now that you CAN"T go around the banked turn at
Monza because to do so would cause ......noooooo I'm not gonna go
there........:}

You can drive it in SOS37 (OK, go wash my mouth out with soap). Well,
you could if
a) it didn't have dirty great steel barriers across half the banked
track at some points (chicane??)
b) SOS37 were driveable.
