after watching Grand Prix again on SpeedVision, I think we should start
begging PAPY for a
that track, I would love to run that banked section.

Dr. Paul Hoad is working on a track editor.

Once they have figured out how to edit the tracks and create new ones, I am
hoping for the full mOza with banking and Indianapolis.

I think it's going to be awhile before anything substantial is editable with
the editor... you can currently make minor changes to car shapes, and thats
it, but it is the most promising editor being developed.  I'm actually far
more interested in completely new cars, with more downforce, than new
tracks.

G'morning,
I also would like to see the banked track at Monza, but I read somewhere
that GPL could not allow cars to cross over each other, as would happen
where the banked track crosses the main track just before Ascari's
Corner....at that point, GPL would assume that a collision had occurred,
even though the cars were actually on two seperate roadways. Oh well,
perhaps we can get the sports-car track from Daytona, which does include
the high banks as well as some wiggly bits on the infield.....Anyone up for
a 24hour race?

I doubt if this is true.  I've had cars fly inches over my head with no
problem to the car I was driving.

fun.

drive onto the bridge at Silverstone and wait for an AI car to go
underneath.
GPL doesn't like 1 car above another if they are both in contact with
tarmac.

Monza was re-designed (without the banking) in 67.  That's why its not
there.  |o)

PS   But when Papy/Sierra publish the Legends of 1960, the banked part
     of Monza will be there... :-)
PS2  Dear Papy, we all wait for that! And also 70's, and 50's!
     Just an addon? Or a new sim? Anyway, we'll pay for it!
     Waiting eagerly, even when not still mastering 1967... ;-)

I went there but couldn't find the track. I did find two versions of
old Monza, but both were the one GPL has already. Can you tell more
exactly where it can be found?

It's the bridge over the straight right before the final turn.  Just
pull off the road on the right and drive over the bridge.  It looks kind
of funny as you are about to cross, but you can definitely do it.
