Try the advanced options document for suggested FF settings for popular
wheels, may get even better :)

All the best,

F1 2001 PATCH (beta)

by Bradd » Sun, 25 Nov 2001 03:33:22

OMG,

So I have a Logi MOMO wheel and mistakenly set the FF to 100% positive -
good ff bad sloppy.

I then read the Patch readme and correctly set the FF level to - 100%  WOW.
Nice and tight - precise effects.

Great stuff guys.

Now I am reading the advanced options.doc that you can download from
http://f12001.phosworks.se/dynpage.asp?page_id=768&subMenu=4  to try out
these settings in the PLR file.

Great stuff guys

Brad

F1 2001 PATCH (beta)

by Iain Mackenzi » Sun, 25 Nov 2001 04:45:59

Fantastic!
Initial impressions are that all graphic problems are resolved. I'm on 50-80

Fantastic force feedback - in the GPL league!  Feel the forces going round
corners at the top of A1 - fantastic! Even spot effects are good.
Off to do some more testing!
Iain

F1 2001 PATCH (beta)

by David Ciemn » Sun, 25 Nov 2001 07:17:47

Guys...I still think this games sucks only because I still cannot calibrate
my TSW in spilt axis mode (even with the patch). An $800.00 US controller
and the game will not read it right. It is calibrated with windows properly.
I want in on the fun!!!!

Anyone else notice with this patch, the inability to move F1-2001
Preference-sliders?

 I tried to move all slider-settings (race-length, controller X/Y/Z,
etc.,). Anything with a slider is stuck and won't move.

No No, I would love to claim it, but I am not from ISI (although if they
would relieve me from my databases I would be very grateful!)

Thank the guys at ISI, great job

Ash

Did you create a new user profile?  It's recommended in the readme.

My split axis wasn't calibrating either, but I just kept clicking on each
function (steer left, steer right, accelerate, etc) and was finally able to
get everything working.

F1 2001 PATCH (beta)

by George Sandma » Sun, 25 Nov 2001 12:28:31

Did you try the trick that allowed F12k to see split axis controllers? Hold
the pedals down while loading.  I have to hold my pedals down on my ECCI
when the tracks are loading. I also do it when loading the Sim but not sure
if that is necessary.
