Best Wheels, Pedals

by Marc Plan » Wed, 23 Nov 1994 21:18:30

I'm getting ready to sink some bucks on getting a driving system for my PC
(Santa WILL be good to me this year)  There seem to be 2 major upgrades to
do, 1) Wheel, pedals and 2) PC/TV converter. I'm splitting them into two
messages.

1) Wheels, pedals
Thrustmaster had the first decent wheel and pedal setup to "drive" these
sims.  Now the Auto***pit is starting to get mention, though it seems to
be hard to find to look at.  Are there any other wheel and pedal setups
that people have used or seen, either current or yet to be released?
Also, it seems that this is best enjoyed on a large TV screen.

Is anyone working on the idea of Tactile feedback through the wheel?

What is the ultimate PC input setup to drive with? (no I don't need the
fiberglass shell around my seat.)

Nominations, Reasoning?  What do you love/hate about the setup?
