Given I am not sure of what else is available in the UK...

On a budget: Thurstmaster GP1

Force feedback - Ultimate Per4mer FF

Bit of money to spare - TSW2, Digital F1 Sim

Lot of money to spare - TSW or ECCI

Money no object - Hyper Stimulator

Well, in the UK I'd definitely go for one of the Digital Edge products -
either F1 SIM (about 179) or F1 SIM Compact (about 99 with Psygnosis F1 '97
bundle) depending on your budget. The F1 SIM is all steel with a great leather
wheel, while the Compact has plastic pedals. Both units have F1-style paddle
shifters.

If you're not in a hurry I'd wait for a month or two for the next generation
of the F1 SIM. The new wheel might be out in July or August. This product will
probably be near 200 but should be fantastic.

Hope this helps,
the bystander

HIYA SIMON,
Before you buy a wheel go to this site and see why the TSW2 or the TSW
will be the only wheel you will ever need. I own a TSW stock, and it is
built like a tank. Look at the site and if you want to talk to a user, give
me a holler ( GEORGIA REDNECK FOR ) send me your reply.

Anyone out there have one of these.  I'm not crazy about the
fact thtat the wheel isn't complete.  It looks like it might be
flimsy.  Any comments?

Just going on the reviews, they all raved about the wheel.
Maybe its because its the only one available though... :-)
Apparently the IForce effects are very good, even if the wheel looks
like a toy...

If you want the best than buy what Frank Williams has for the Williams
Grandprix team, the Hyper Stimulator.  The least expensive model comes in
kit form.  Your UK distributor can tell you the price.  The Canadian pricing
is on my website  www.directcomputers.com   You can locate the UK
distributor though www.hyperstim.com

Just saw in an E3 report the new Saitek FF wheel. Looks great, with a
regular gear shifter AND F1 style wheel paddels.

We've just started getting Saitek joysticks here in Australia. How
good is this company? The flight sticks look a little overdone (too
many buttons and stuff), btu are apparently good value....

Anyone had any good experiences with Saitek products?

Damn, all this FF stuff, and here I am with an almost brand new GP1
:-)
