Talladega Qualifying Problem

I just bought Nascar Racing last week and I'm having a problem with
Talladega. I have been running qualifying laps that should be putting me
on the pole but it still shows me as being last in the lineup. The speed
is correct but I'm positioned behind everyone else. Any help or thoughts
on this problem would really be appreciated. Feel free to email me if
you wish.

You have to run two Qualifing laps at Taladega.

 You get two laps of qualifying at Tal.  You have to run them both!!

You must run 2 laps to qualify, the game will use your fastest.  

Gotta get that restrictor plate warmed up, your second lap will
probably be faster all other things being equal.

Maybe someone else knows, but why isn't the two lap qualifiying the
case with the short tracks like Bristol?

the qualifying for taladega is 2 laps....go round once more.

Could be a couple things.  1st do you have the track pack or the upgrade
patch to v1.2.  IF you don't there is your problem.  If you do, then
check and see if you are running 2 qualifying laps.  If you are, make
sure you run both laps.  It will still register you as last place until
you do that.  If all else fails, exit, and save race weekend.  Then go
right back in, and you should be in the correct position.....1st of
course ;)

Talladega has a two-lap qualifying run... when you run your quals, you are not
waiting until you get a checkered flag, are you?

KEEP GOING... you will get a green, a white, and then a checker for the 3
times you cross the start/finish line. Your second qual lap is often faster
than your first as well, so don't give up on it after one lap!

If you want to run two qualifying laps at Bristol (or wherever).... change
the second number on the QUALS line in the tracks' text file to 2.
