*.csv files in the GameData\Simulation\AI directory, I decided to try
messing around with some of the variables found therein, which seem to
be related to AI strength, ability, and such. I came up with a modified
set of *.csv files that seem to keep the AI more tightly-grouped, and
also improves their overall driving ability.
The original files are nicely-remarked by EA, so you can kind of tell
what does what -- you can control the AI's tendency to wipeout or
fishtail, their likelihood to rear-end another car, their cornering
prowess, their acceleration ability, their braking ability, and their
likelihood to burst into fits of "road rage" against the human player
if bumped or passes (yes, this is a setting -- kind of neat that they
included these kinds of AI behaviors, IMO).
Anyway, if you'd like to download the modified files that I've come up
with, you can get them here:

These tweaks don't work miracles -- I can still pretty much beat the AI
hands-down with a well-modded car, but with bone-stock models, the AI
seems much more evenly-matched to me. More extreme values may result in
even better AI, but I don't have the time to really mess around with
them much more than I already have.
If any of you come up with any more info, or any better files than what
I've come up with, please let me know. Enjoy!
