Late nite NFSPU tweaking, Part II..JB?

Ok, so I was pretty happy with some tweaked settings... I tested it out
& sure enough the traffic stopped swerving all over the place like
idiots fresh from the idiot factory, and the AI blocked (and
accelerated) much more realistically. Except for that stupid truck in
factory driver mode, right after you pass the first cop in the night
city, which apparently is programmed to swerve like a swervy swerver.

I also got much, much, much more exiting races, since the cars were more
generally on par with one another.

But!

I got to the first 914 race (through the woods) and the AI acceleration
seemed to be superhuman (superauto?) again. Maybe this is where the AI
starts using modified cars?

Perhaps I am not buying some parts I should; the first time I tried
buying/using special updated parts, it was early in the first era, and
once I changed parts, it told me my car wasn't qualified (or something
like that) for this competition.

I suppose I should revisit this - JB?

I have also printed out other files here and there from the game, but
don't know what anything does yet since not everything is annotated as
well as the personality files.. I really would love some fixed setup (or
nearly so) races!
