Best Current FF Wheel?

Best Current FF Wheel?

Well, I know it's an old favourite, but what is the current thinking on the
best FF wheel.  MS, Momo, Saitek, Thrustmaster???  I always liked the MS
except for the positioning of the gear-shift paddles.

I'm about to change my Thrustmaster Ferrari wheel, as I have a problem that
I can't resolve, and that is in everything I have used it with, after a
period of time, the game freezes, and then comes back with no FF - usually
on a serious bend!

Any thoughts?

Iain

I'd say MOMO. I have only tried MOMO and MS, but I would seriously doubt
Saitek and Thrustmaster is in the same league as the MOMO.

There was something here on RAS about a heat fuse causing FF to stop working
on some wheel. But it shouldn't affect the PC like you describe.

Iain I have a new MOMO & it's very nice, the pedals are much better than the
early Logi's, better than the MS ones as well.
At $239.00 Aust. it's ok

Hi Iain,

Here's a short review of the new Ferrari wheel.

Dave

It looks great (as we've discussed before), BUT I'm worried that I'll have
the same problem as I'm having now.  If I could resolve the current problem
I wouldn't get a new wheel as I'm perfectly happy with the existing one in
terms of feel and performance.

I dont agree about the Momo Pedals. I had the original Logitech FF wheel and
the pedals aren't really that much better. I currently own the MSFF wheel
and I have quite a bit of time on the Momo as well, and I much prefer MS's
Pedals over the Logi Momo's.

I agree, i really cant get on with the Momo pedals, i'd much rather have the
MS pedals or my current (actlabs) performance pedals.

All the best,

I think he means the NEW Momo pedals, which are nothing like the old one's
from what I understand.
