Wow, thanks for the feedback Grant! You've certainly given us lots to think
about.  Some of the stuff you mention we'll need to investigate. Meanwhile,
I'lll answer the questions I can.

* The replay lap counter issue sounds like a bug - will need to
investigate. One thing to consider - in the retail product, the Pi Analysis
feature is the recommended way to analyze laps. It's easy to find your best
lap in the pi analysis & you can watch the video while the data you choose
is plotted on a grapth.
* The neutral behavior you mention is something we also need to work on.
While I agree with you that it is wierd (and we will investigate), I also
would like to mention that in a real indy race you don't spend much time in
neutral. Similar comment to the slow roll stuff (how often to Indy cars go
less than 10 kph?).
* We'll need to investigate the behavior you mention with flooring it in
1-st.
* AI comments are heard -we're investigating.
* The skill settings cannot be set in the trial. You need to bet the retail
product if you want to party on these.
* I'm not sure what you're talking about with the icon positions. Please
send me private mail describing what you're seeing.
* As for behavior when you get close to another car, one thing to consider
is that Indy car's are open wheel race cars - contact between then &
another car is catastrophic (unlike closed wheel cars where it's possible
to have some contact w/o severe consequences).

I couldn't find the inane babble you mentioned :) Thanks again for the
feedback.

Losing control under braking for a hairpin is also likely to have
fairly catastrophic consequences - should you provide artificial help
in those circumstances also?

The majority of people drive here to test our skills under
circumstances as close as possible to real life. No training wheels,
no cotton wool, no artificial help from the programmers. If it's
difficult to drive close to another car, that's the challenge of the
simulation. Where's the fun in attempting a classic CART style dive
inside under braking if you know that the program will help you to
avoid tangling wheels or steer you away from your own errors?

Cheers!
John

You ARE going to make any of the changes in the form of a patch,
right?? I certainly hope you do not wait until CART PR 2 or whatever to
implement these changes and then expect people to shell out more $$..
