I know you have to use the settings of Rookie,
Intermediate, and Professional to choose the strength
and the speed of the AI cars, but this is way too course.

I mean by this, that there is not enough play with the
speed that YOU want to race at, or that you CAN race at.
I find that the Intermediate setting makes the cars too
slow in the corners, and way too slow in the straightaways,
however the Professional setting, the cars are ultra fast
through the corners, but just even in the straightaways.

Anyone else see this?

Also, it seems like the AI drivers are very reckless,
meaning that they are always practically running over you to
get through, not bothering to slow down at all.

I plan to examine the AI drivers in more depth in the next week
or so.

Hi Fireball,
Answer to first question: You can adjust the speed of the AI cars in the
retail version by editing the skilltrack settings in the CART.INI file. This
feature isn't supported in the Trial version.

As for the AI cars, we've gotten a lot of feedback from RAS on the AI cars
and we are investigating that now.

BTW - I want encourage people on RAS to send me private email with specific
AI behaviors you think need improvement. I'm already aware that sometimes
the AI cars don't seem to see you & they're slow on some of the ovals. What
I'm looking for is other, important specifics. I am using the feedback which
is posted on RAS, but I also encourage you to send feedback directly as
well. I can't promise you we'll fix everything you don't like (that is
sometimes impossible since what one person hates another person loves), but
we will consider all the feedback and try to address the most important
stuff.

Eric

Seems your are wanting the paying customers to be your beta testers.  All of these problems, and especially the AI problems should have been fixed before the game was released.  If you guys are so concerned about getting input from sim racers, you should have contacted some of the people from this newsgroup to be your beta testers.

I knew I wouldn't have the machine to run this game, and now I am glad I don't have to run out and upgrade so I could run your new game.  I'll stick with ICR2, and work on upgrading before Gand Prix Legends is released.
