I have been following ICR II/Reactor posts for a couple of weeks &
plan to order one. However, I have never seen the answers to a couple of
questions I have:
Is the Indycar II on the Reactor a "patched" version ? I am currently
using the 1.02 and would like to continue with it. If it isn't, could I
apply the 1.02 patch and would it affect it the game in any way ?

Hi Jim,
ICR2-3D is an "optimised" version of v1.02, but doesn't have the paintkit
needed patches. If you still have PATCHPKT.COM & PKIT102.EXE,
then save these for when you get the card, and then apply as normal.
-or-
1) Install ICR2-3D
2) Copy the patched paintkit.exe from your original dir to the new 3D dir.
3) Copy any of the converted NASCAR or Indy track folders from ICR2
to ICR2-3D's track dir (up to 29 tracks total).
4) Get ready to have your socks knocked-off when you start playing!! ;)

Yes it is the patched DOS version. The paintkit is not patched. You
can find the patch for the paintkit at
