Getting you T2 to work in WIN95

by Tom Warde » Fri, 19 Dec 1997 04:00:00

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help me to get my T2 to work in
Win95 (It works fine in DOS, but with SODA & GPL on the way, I need it
to work in Win95).  It is a T2 that has the adapter built into it.

Other info you may need to know:

System - Pentium 233mhz
RAM - 32 MB DRAM
OS - Windows95
Other Game Devices - Microsoft Sidewinder Gamepad
DirectX - 5.0(came with my Hercules Stingray128 8MB Video Card)

If you need to know me let me know.

Thanks,
Tom Wardell

Tom

Not sure if this will help but I think directx 5 gives you the option to
pick your T1/T2 with or without adapter, I have a T1, just go to control
panel select game controllers then a screen will come up with the device you
have already got selected, just click on add and you will see all the
controllers you can add select the one you want then ok it a screen will
come up with all the devices you have got highlight T2 click on properties
calibrate T2 and then test make sure it's ok. Hopefully all should be well.

PS On my system if i had more than 1 controller in the box windows would'nt
recognise it so i removed all other controllers and just left the T1/T2 as
the only one. Hope this helps you.

Rgds Phil.

Download the propanel utility from Thrustmaster's website,
www.thrustmaster.com I believe. Should make setting it up in win95 a breeze
for ya.

When I installed DirectX5, if I select 'thrustmaster T2', the wheel
does not work 9with or without the adapter). Selecting 2 button
4-axis joystick (with the adapter) allows the t2 to work fine.

It took me a LONG time to figure this out.....

The wheel worked fine under Direct X3.
