I'm thinking of purchasing a FF wheel to replace my Thrustmaster T2. Would
this be a good choice? How does it compare with the ACT labs RS?

I don't know about the ACT labs wheel, but I have both the Logitech Formula
(Yellow)
and the Formula Force Feedback (Red).  I actually perfer the plain Formula
without the Force Feedback.
Go with a USB wheel...doesn't seem to be quite as CPU intensive (at least on
my machine)

I compared the Microsoft FF and LWFF and kept the Logitech.  Great wheel.
Smooth steering, excellent paddles and solid FF effects (in the right game .
. . GPL!).  I'm a tough critic of wheels since my other wheel is a $200 TSW2
so I'm comparing the Logitech to one of the best on the market.  Other than
the pedals, the LWFF is my choice for best wheel for the $.  The pedals have
weak springs and short throws so they suck for GPL bc of the precision
throttle/braking needed.  I use my TSW2 pedals.  Others use CH rudder
pedals.  Now that CH has come out with USB pedals this might be quite the
combo.

I find the logitech pedals very precise for GPL.

I purchased the Logytech FF a few mounths ago.  The wheel is great...did not
like the pedals so I'm using the T2 pedals and I'm having a blast.

A friend of mine rewired the T2 pedals with the internals of the Logy pedals
in order for me to use the  USB port only.
