Logitech GT3 force feedback wheel... opinions?

by andre » Wed, 07 Nov 2001 23:17:12

As with most other force feedback wheels, I've read a few bad things
about this one - slow-mo feel in big turns (turning the wheel far), and
a slightly "off" feel in fine movements.

But, most of the stuff I've read seemed very positive, and as I haven't
tried it but am considering it, I'd like to read any opinions you have
on this or any other wheels for the PS2...

Thanks!

Logitech GT3 force feedback wheel... opinions?

Hi Andrew,

the wheel is practically the same as the Logitech Formula Force GP
wheel, and all that apllies to it applies to the GT3 version as well.
Currently it got competition from the Thrustmaster/Guillemot side of
things. Perhaps you will find this article of some use:

http://www.sharkyextreme.com/hardware/reviews/controller/nascarpro_ff/

there are links towards other relevant articles within it.

Greetings,

-Gregor

Logitech GT3 force feedback wheel... opinions?

Andrew,

If you are looking at the Logitech Force GT, I suggest that you consider the
Logitech Driving Force instead (the replacement for the GT).  It has paddle
style shifters and they are much easier to work with than the diminutive
buttons on the wheel spokes of the GT.  It's the same price, BTW.
