Force Feedback (Logitech Formula Force) Coyote's Review

Hi, Tucson Coyote Here with a quick review of the Logitech Fomula Force
Force Feedback wheel.....

What can I say about it???

Well to tell you the truth it is good, in fact it is REALLY good...

Installation is fairly easy (make sure though you get all the
connections secure before you crank this puppy up!)

Second, The Drivers aren't hard to install....

Third, If you don't have USB, you can run it through a serial
port...(Not bad to have reverse /backward compatibility

Fourth The Profiler is easy to use...

Five and Formost (on games that use Force Feedback), it is a little
weak, but the effects are there and the locking mechanism is
excellent....

One small complaint though: the pedals are just a tad too close.....

Finally on games with Non-force feedback (not too bad) GP2 runs better
but still having problems with GPL...(Maybe GPL should have a force
feedback patch!)

Final verdict on the Logitech Formula Force: for the price that my
friend and I had to pay ($170 at Best Buy) it is worth every last cent
(heck in a couple of months we'll get another!) Then let the fun begin!
heh  heh heh!

Just a little positive feedback from Tucson Coyote!

What sort of problems are you having with GPL and this wheel. My times just
keep dropping since getting one and installing stiffer springs in the pedals.

Force Feedback (Logitech Formula Force) Coyote's Review

Thanks for the feedback!

A couple of questions.

First, does it have 'electronic' centering like the MSFFW, and is it
adjustable?

Second, are those pedals _really_ useable?  I looked at one in Best Buy,
and while the wheel felt _exceptionally_ smooth (no ratcheting, like
I've felt in every other FFW), the pedals looked like something from
Mattel or Tonka!  They _look_ reallly uncomfortable, cheesy, and just
plain useless.

Is reality a bit better?

Thanks!
