I currently play ICR2, N99/TPTCC99 and SCGT with a flightstick. I want to
upgrade to a new generation wheel. I used a Thrustmaster T-1 for a couple of
years until I broke the gas pedal. Is the new force feedback technology
really work it? Or should I just get the normal Wingman Formula. Thanks in
advance.

Unless you have the money to spend, buy the non-FF.  I don't find FF
worth the extra money when you take into account that there are more
things that can go wrong with a FF wheel.

Out of all these titles, only SCGT supports FF in the first place.  So
unless you are planning to add to your sim arsenal in the near-future,
I'd recommend the non-ff wheel.

The box said "Windows 95 or better", so I installed LINUX!

In SCGT FF might actually help you once you get used to it. The Guillemot
Ferrari FF wheel is a nice unit and also has a stick shifter built in, and
the pedal unit is pretty nice. Cost about $153 US with shipping. The Act
Labs Force with the Force Shifter is really nice and has nice pedals. Cost
about $220 US with shipping and has the option for a gated or sequential
shifter. Both of these support split axis pedals which is also a nice
feature. For non FF the MadCatz Andretti Racing wheel is pretty good. Its
digital and the pedal unit is nice (about 10 lbs too) although it has excess
wasted travel at the end of the pedal throw. A couple of 50 cent ***
erasers stuck in the end of the pedal slots take up the slack just right. It
costs about $70 US, has a stick shift and paddles and is well made.

Well, i dont know how the force feedback is since i just own the Wingman
Formula, but I would say its a very good steering wheel. It's high quality
and its working perfectly for all kinds of driving games. Some people
complain that the pedals are a bit to little sensitive, but i think they are
just fine, and they dont move as you drive a bit rough. I would say buy the
Wingman Formula, but of course if you have the money, why dont you go for
the Force Feedback since they are otherwise same design.

I would like to buy this Wingman Formula force
feedback steering wheel, but since several weeks,
all the shops I contacted are having trouble to
get it from Logitech. Why the hell Logitech
doesn't deliver their products, what's the
problem. I wanted one before Xmas. If there aren't
any Logitechs, I'll buy a Microsoft (or any other
good one) !

Logitech Wingman Formula or Formula Force Wheel

Well I have owned a V4 Force Feedback Interact Wheel since last Christmas,
recently
I decided to purchase the Act Labs Force RS wheel.  I thought the USB and
shifter additions looked interesting.
When I received them I immediately removed the InterAct V4 and installed the
Act Labs Force RS with Shifter through the USB port.
I was highly dissappointed in the feedback "feel" compared to the Act Labs
wheel. Other than that the fit and finish of the Act Labs RS is superb. The
shifter worked superb. The gas and brake pedals are superb. I feel the
InterAct V4 software interface is much better and easier to program. After
keeping the Act Labs Force RS for about a week and dealing with their superb
tech support I was forced to return their Force RS wheel. I really wanted to
keep it just because of the USB and Shifter features, But the InterAct V4
beats it hands down in actual game play enjoyment The bumps (rough roads)
feel like bumps. The slides like slides, Crashes like crashes, engine rumble
like an engine rumbling ect. ect.

I was ready to trade off the Interact V4 for the new RS Force but I couldn't
do it. The InterAct V4 wheel has spoiled me. Until a wheel comes along that
has at least equal to performance in force feedback I have to remain
satisfied with this simple but very gratifying wheel.
