Has anybody been able to get there USB sterring wheel to work in
Win2K?

My Logitech Wingman Formula Force wheel and pedals are fully
recognized and calibrated in in Windows 2000 Contol Panal/Game
Controllers. The test works perfectly!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I primarily run Nascar3 and it works perfectly in win98 but in Win2K
thats a differant story,

First with an el cheapo joystick Nascar3 is 100% stable and works
perfectly in Win2K.

Now the problem with the Logitech Wingman Formula Force with Nascar3:

When I go to "Calibrate 1"  the gas pedal is recognized and the
steering is NOT.

When I go to "Calibrate 2" the brake is recognized.

I just can't seem to get the steering to calibrate and be recognized
in Nascar3. (only game I know works in win2k). If I setup all the
pedals, shifters, and buttons and set the steering to work with the
Keyboard the game works perfectly, please someone help if possible
regarding my Steering issue.

TIA
JD

My LWFF is running great via win98 SE.  I'd look at your device
manager and see if you have any conflicts.  Good luck

I have this same (type of) problem with the LWFF, but I'm running W98.
This is odd. I get the steering to work, but cant't use the Logitech
pedals to work with it. How is this possible? I have never had a game
that used DirectInput and didn't work.

Well, it works now. Don't know why and it is still a bit shakey. I
unplugged a pedal-set that I use for flying (with the Wingman FF
joystick, separate pedal-set, connected to the gameport) and reinstalled
N3. I now had calibration signals in the game and I could assign
gestures to the pedals as well.

When I exit the game and restart it I have to do the calibration again,
otherwise it wont recognize any movement of the wheel. Maybe that is
what caused it the first time as well. I never assumed that a once known
stick would have to be recognized again.

I can drive now. I find the FF a bit disappointing. Maybe I'm spolied
with games like NFS, Powerslide and even Motorhead :-)

Thanks,

Ursa..

Oh, one more thing, rather important possibly; I also have the Wingman
3.30 profiler running in the background. I always had it disabled
before, but after reading about the changes in functionality I gave it a
try. Maybe that did it.

Hmm, is there no documentation on this new profiler?
