Does this mean the game will come on PC, or not ?

Yours looking forward to some mayhem
Some Call Me Tim
If only my 15" monitor was as big as my 32" widescreen TV...
Basing this totally on the PS2 version, I would say a lot better. In most
areas it is pretty similar, but when the cars break away into slides it is
so much more gradual, controllable and fun. The crashes are slightly less
epic in terms of total vehicle count, but every bit as realistic.
Trust me, you will buy this game.. not for the incessant *** (unless
you are a little bit weird), but for the sheer scale of the game world and
fun factor of just cruising the streets. I had doubts of it capturing the
essence of GTA 1&2, but it has improved significantly. There is also a top
down viewpoint a la earlier GTA's :-)
Of course, the PC version might be cack, in which case ignore everything I
just said. But then you can buy a PS2 (the game is worth it), and also get
GT3, Metal Gear Solid 2, WRC, Colin 3 and a whole bunch more fantastic
games. I don't know if there are any plans for a GC or xbox GTA3?

"a poster is a human being or the software equivalent"
The PC version, however, is supposed to have an even better driving
model than the PS2 version. This is in addition to all of the other
improvements (like mouse-look, more detailed textures, etc).

The official PS2 mag UK says September. Of course, if you like rally games,
then the PS2 is the only place to be:
Colin 3
WRC 2
V-Rally 3
Pro Rally 2002
Master Rallye
Rally Championship (SCi)
Or, if driving in general is your thing, then:
Gran Turismo Concept: Tokyo-Geneva
Gran Turismo Online
Auto Modellista
Total Immersion Racing
F355 Challenge
The Getaway
Mercedes Benz World Racing
TOCA Race Driver
Starsky & Hutch
F1 2002
Formula One 2002
NASCAR Heat 2002
Gumball 3000
Stuntman
Alpine Racer 3
TD Overdrive
That is just off the top of my head, but then I do follow racing games/sims
pretty closely. Obviously, some of these will be pants, but I am getting
pretty e***d about the future of PS2 ***, especially GT Online and Auto
Modellista (which is also Online).

to err is human -- to forgive is bovine.
No. OPS2 mag UK was supposed to run a big update this month, but it got
pushed over to next month (due out June 14). It is one of the games I am
*really* looking forward to. Don't worry though, it hasn't done a WSC (which
has just been removed (hopefully just forgotten) from the most up-to-date
PS2 release schedule I have. It's a shame in some ways, because it [WRC]
would have been the first out-and-out racing sim on PS2. I don't know much
about TIR except it will have a Race Driver style career mode and AI which
reacts and bears grudges (how many times have I heard *that* one :-)
I will try to remember to post more on The Getaway as I get it.
