F1 2001 - Settings for steering wheel graphics

by Rick Catto » Wed, 05 Dec 2001 04:43:29

Following an earlier post I have played around with the settings in the
f1car.gen and default.cfg files, but find that when I set the 'wheel
moveable=false' variable, the wheel disappears altogether. Does anyone know
if it's possible to retain a static wheel in order to keep the information
on screen? I'd prefer to turn the wheel movement off, but keep the timing,
pit and technical data visible if possible.

Thanks in advance, and sorry if I've missed something blindingly obvious.

Rick.

I asked the same thing and got nothing. I guess we will
see :-)

Unfortunately, I don't have the answer but I would love to find it.  I can't
stand having a moving wheel in front of me.  I have my own hands and wheel,
I don't need another.!  ;0)

If you find it, please post it.

James

I don't think you can.  But at least we can get rid of those cheesy
graphics for the hands.  Reminds me of GP3 with the ghost-controlled
wheel now.

Yeah - me too. Still, as you say, better than four arms steering in front of
you!
