I have the same problem.  I am using a Monster3d and the screen is too big.
I am using my primary card which is an Intel 740 and it works fine with the
game

Try playing around with your monitor buttons to change the screen area.
I found that my games used to do that under different resolutions - the
image was there but off the right of the monitor -  until I discovered
that my monitor stores different settings for each resolution and I had
to recalibrate my monitor for the resolution I was running the game in,
for want of a better description.
