I have been racing hawaii for only about a month and have tryied to give my oponent
enough room to pass as soon as he is close enough or if he has my ussual line ect...
My problem is that I can't tell when the oponnant is far enough away from me to be able
to pull back in front of him or if I pull in front will I tap his front bumper with my
rear bumper. I CAN tell when after being passed (or caught up to) when it is safe for me
to pull over behind my opponant. (this is the best explanation I can come up with at
this time)
My problem stems from what I can see out of my rear view mirrors. and the dimentional
efect that I see. it seems that if I see that his front bumper is in the left side
mirror (I'm beeing passed on the left) that I will clip his bumper and posably wipe the
both of us out. however I may be wrong. The point is that there is no refferance pionts
to my rearend and his bumper.
In my "Geo storm" I see a distortion of the cars behind and to the left of me as the
light waves pass the curved part of my rear window wich tells me that that car is
(aproxamitly) about to clip my rear tire not just the bumper and that I shuld not pull
to the left.
You get the genneral concept of what I am getting at.
The nascar rear view mirror(s) should have some kind of a refferance to my back
window and the rearside windows (if any) and to my side windows so that I can feal a
little more confidant that when I pull to the left that I am not going to kill the race
for the both of us.
Just a suggestion or you can set me rite.
